Booking Terms
Thank you for supporting my small local business and for understanding that the following information is in place to protect the business and clients in order to continue to run efficiently.
- When booking an appointment please make sure you can attend as frequent rescheduling, cancellations and amendments even if it is more than 48hrs notice still does have a huge negative effect on a small business.
See Cancellations, Amendments, Missed Appointments, Lateness, Emergencies and Illness section below. - Card Capture: The booking system captures your credit/debit card details via Stripe to secure your appointment. Claire's Beauty Treatments will never have access to your card detail information, it is taken and stored securely via Stripe.
- On the day of your appointment you can pay by card: Apple Pay, Contactless, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Maestro, Visa Electron. No processing fees are paid by the card holder. All processing fees are paid by Claire's Beauty Treatments. You will receive an e-Receipt. Cash - Card Payments are preferred but cash is accepted.
- The little beauty room is only able to accommodate one client at a time and there is no waiting room, so if you bring someone with you they will have to wait outside until your appointment is finished.
- Do not bring children to your appointment. Insurance restrictions, hot wax, sharp tools and chemicals means it is not an appropriate environment for a child or baby and your appointment will have to be rescheduled, charges may apply.
- All treatments have a minimum age of 18 years old.
Cancellations, Amendments, Missed Appointments, Lateness, Emergencies and Illness:
- Covid-19 Cancellations: You will not be charged but will be unable to rebook for Two Weeks. You must cancel your appointment immediately if you have or anyone you have been around has Covid-19 or exhibiting symptoms; recent onset of a continuous cough, high temperature, loss of or change in normal sense of taste or smell.
- Cancellations and rescheduling to later dates and amendments reducing treatments: more than 48 hours notice is required.
Whilst I understand that very occasionally emergencies and illnesses happen the more notice I have, the more likely it is that the appointment can go to someone else. You can do this via your booking link or by logging in to the online booking system more than 48hrs before your appointment, failure to do so may incur a charge and a non-refundable booking fee of 50% to secure future appointments. - Frequent cancellations, rescheduling to later dates or amendments reducing treatments, even if it is more than 48hrs notice, you may not be able to book online, you may be asked in future to book in the same week or on the day you require the appointment, however this doesn't guarantee an appointment will be available. A non-refundable booking fee of 50% may be required to secure future appointments.
- Amendments reducing treatments more than 48 hours notice is required, failure to do so may incur a charge and a non-refundable booking fee of 50% to secure future appointments, however if you turn up to your appointment wanting only part of the treatments booked and/or you’ve not prepared for your treatments e.g. not grown hair for waxing a charge may apply.
- Amendments adding treatments - Please note specific time is allocated for the treatments you've booked in for, it is not always possible to add treatments on to the appointment or change treatments e.g. half leg to full leg however the more notice I get the more chance your request can be accommodated.
- Missed Appointments: A charge may apply if you do not attend your appointment. Also if you do not send a text with a valid reason you will not be able to book another appointment. A non-refundable booking fee of 50% may apply to secure future appointments.
- Lateness: A charge may apply if you are late and treatments need to be cut short, e.g. half leg wax instead of full leg, or may not be able to be completed at all.
- Non-refundable booking fee - this is a fee to secure your appointment date and time.
If this fee is due to less than 48 hours notice or frequent cancellations, reschedules or amendments then the booking fee will be forfeited if any other cancellations or changes are to be made.
If this fee is due to securing any additional future appointment other than the one above then the appointments can be rescheduled or amended once only without the fee forfeited. - Charges: Please note that all charges and booking fees must be paid before any more bookings are accepted.
You will be charged 50% of the treatment(s) value to secure a booking.
All other charges will be 50% of the appointment value.
Medical Information:
All health or medical conditions including pregnancy and all medications must be discussed before booking an appointment as it is possible certain treatments will not be able to go ahead and your therapist will need time to get advice.
- Pregnancy - Waxing: First, Second and Third Trimester you can have all Waxing treatments but please be aware your hair, body and skin may effect the results and you can be more sensitive.
- Pregnancy - Waxing: First Trimester with a previous history of miscarriage, there is no reason why you can’t be waxed but it is always best to check with your GP or healthcare provider first before you book an appointment.
- Pregnancy - Tinting: Tinting can proceed however results may differ slightly due to the changes in your body, skin and hair and if you experience a reaction to the treatment you may not be able to take medication or antihistamines. It is always best to check with your GP or healthcare provider first before you book an appointment.
- Waxing will not proceed: Hemophilia. Contagious Skin Condition. Scar Tissue that is red and tender. Sunburn. Using Acne, Steroid or Accutane cream. Used Retin A, Glycolic Acid, Accutane, AHA Skincare in the last 6 months. Any treatments that can cause thinning of the skin.
- Waxing will not proceed and you will be required to get a GP letter: Diabetes. Epilepsy.
- Tinting will not proceed: Cuts, Abrasions, Swelling, Bruising, Inflammation or recent operation to eye area.
- Tinting will not proceed: If you have a Viral Infection. Cold. Cough. Hayfever. Conjunctivitis. Stye. Eczema. Psoriasis.
Patch Testing:
- Patch Test for Lash and Brow Tinting: These treatments carry a mandatory requirement for testing and Claire's Beauty Treatments has a No Patch Test No Treatment Policy, these treatments will have an asterisk star * beside them and a patch test MUST be booked.
- For New Clients: Patch Test required 48hrs before first treatment
Existing Clients: Patch Test needs to be repeated if your medical history changes or you've not had the treatment in 12 months. - Patch Test for Waxing and Allergies: If you have allergies please contact Claire before booking an appointment as you may need a patch test 24hrs before treatment.
- Patch Test for Waxing and Sensitive skin: You do not need to book a patch test as this can be done at your appointment if you have sensitive skin or have never had the treatment before.
- There is no charge for Patch Testing, however in the event that we do not receive more than 48hrs notice to either cancel, reschedule or amend your appointment you will be charged a fee of £5.00 for the time booked out for the patch test and consultation.
Privacy Policy Claire's Beauty Treatments:
We collect personal information about you when you request to engage with our services for a variety of uses based on different reasons. Some of the information we collect from you we need to enable us to deliver the services to you, sometimes we are required by law and regulations to collect this information about you. Claire's Beauty Treatments may have to assist NHS Test and Trace with requests for data regarding visitors to the premises.
Ovatu is used for all bookings and your account is stored on secure password protected servers and only staff members involved in your treatments and management are able to access your account.
Claire's Beauty Treatments does not share any personal information with anyone, all information you share is strictly confidential.
Stripe, Izettle and Sumup are used for payment and collect information about the devices that connect to its services.

We track this information using cookies, or small text files which include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to a user’s browser from servers and are stored on the user’s computer hard drive.
